The Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at the University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine invites applications for a tenure/tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Genetics with a research focus on the roles of DNA repetitive (tandem and interspersed repeats) sequence elements in neurological and neuromuscular disease. The Department has begun a major expansion of the faculty as part of a 5-year strategic plan. We seek outstanding creative investigators in any area of genetics, including but not limited to gene expression and regulation, functional genomics and systems biology, developmental genetics, immunogenetics, molecular mechanisms of disease, evolutionary genetics, and other related fields whose research will synergize with and further strengthen research in both MGM and the CNG.
The Department has active research programs in mammalian (human, mouse), Drosophila, viral, bacterial, and cancer genetics, together with expertise in gene discovery, genome and RNA editing, transcriptional and co/post-transcriptional regulation, disease pathomechanisms, RNA biochemistry, structural biology, protein biochemistry, and computational biology. The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida is seeking a research-practitioner with experience in collegiate mental health who thrives in an environment that values collaboration and support among team members and will serve as CWC’s Assistant Director for Research & Assessment/Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. The Assistant Director for Research & Assessment is responsible for the management of research, assessment, data collection, data analysis, report writing, and data dissemination/publication activities of the CWC.

and VOCA program requirements, Florida Statute 39. Must adhere to HIPAA and PHI requirements.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
• Manage and improve services under the NaviGator AI suite.• Work with constituents who want to leverage AI capabilities in their current processes and provide consulting services to campus.• Deploy and manage enterprise platforms that can be used by UFIT staff to deliver innovative solutions and enhance our constituent’s user experience.

Expected Salary:
$98,000 ; commensurate based on education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred:
The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:
• Enterprise level experience managing virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, and container workloads in hybrid environments.• Enterprise level experience managing and deploying cloud resources in at least one of the major cloud providers (i.e. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).• Advanced experience in installing, managing, updating, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows-based systems and applications.• Advanced experience leveraging observability tools for logs, metrics, and traces to monitor systems and applications.• Advanced experience with relational database platforms such as PostgreSQL.• Expertise in configuration management tools such as ansible, puppet, and chef• Expertise in orchestration tools such as Terraform.• Expertise in scripting/programming languages such as Python and Golang.• Expertise in Rest API scripting and automation.• Expertise in using source/version control platforms such as Gitlab, GitHub.• Expertise in building automation pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.• Familiarity with leading Generative AI models such as Llama, GPT, Claude, and Gemini .• Familiarity with creating and leveraging AI agents in process automation and improvement is a plus.
