Job Description:
The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida is seeking a research-practitioner with experience in collegiate mental health who thrives in an environment that values collaboration and support among team members and will serve as CWC’s Assistant Director for Research & Assessment/Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. The Assistant Director for Research & Assessment is responsible for the management of research, assessment, data collection, data analysis, report writing, and data dissemination/publication activities of the CWC.
In addition to these specific administrative duties, the job duties include:
Carrying a modest caseload including individual, couples and group counseling.
Crisis intervention, campus consultation, outreach programs, clinical supervision.
Professional training and teaching, scholarly activities (professional presentations, leadership, and publications); and
Performing administrative and committee responsibilities as required.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
Evidence of expertise in current and emerging college-age mental health issues, and experience working in a college or university mental health setting.

Strong background with research and ability to plan/coordinate the initiation of a research study, research study protocols, and the establishment of operating policies and procedures.

Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding individuals and groups through research, assessment, and strategic planning processes.
Strong background with monitoring the progress of research activities, develop and maintain records of research activities, prepare periodic and ad hoc reports, as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies.
Demonstrated understanding of the principles of human research protection standards, including Institutional Review Board protocols and procedures
Ability to implement quality control processes throughout research activities.

UF Compliance and Ethics Program Development, Oversight, and Operation
As a member of the UF Compliance and Ethics (UFCE) leadership team, serve as the Director of Compliance and Ethics developing, overseeing, and monitoring UF’s Compliance and Ethics Program. Provide strategic and operational support to the CCO.
In coordination with the CCO, work collaboratively with leadership across the UF enterprise to develop tools, best practices, and resources; develop coordinated and streamlined practices/ procedures/services to minimize the resulting burden on faculty and staff; and test and monitor effectiveness of systems and remediation of weaknesses and particular violations.

Compliance Monitoring, Reporting, Policy Development, and Outreach
Lead all efforts related to compliance risk assessments, implementing and overseeing an institutional compliance risk analysis process to enhance strategic compliance oversight and monitoring.
Implement and oversee a monitoring program in coordination with university partners to gain assurance of compliance across high-risk compliance areas. Perform and oversee compliance reviews and cultural surveys, as appropriate.
Develop and implement policies and programs that encourage employees to report suspected non-compliance.
Manage the Compliance Hotline, with oversight of intakes, triage, referrals, investigations, and resolution of reported concerns. Collaborate with the Internal Review Committee to assess allegations, determine investigative pathways, and prioritize data analytics to support root cause analysis and trend identification.
Oversee and coordinate compliance investigations related to alleged violations of laws, regulations, and university policies. Ensure investigations are conducted in a timely, objective, and well-documented manner, utilizing appropriate internal and external resources as needed. Establish investigation protocols, maintain case management standards, and ensure consistent application of investigative procedures across the UF enterprise.
Assist CCO in the university’s policy approval process, collaborating with the University Policy Group.
Develop and maintain enterprise-wide compliance calendar and reporting process.
Draft compliance reports and presentations, including the annual institutional compliance report, and assist the CCO in preparing materials for the Board of Trustees, Board of Governors, and university leadership, providing presentations as directed by the CCO.
Provide guidance, advice, training and educational programs to UF faculty, staff, and students to improve the university’s understanding of compliance-related laws and regulatory requirements.
Oversee, develop, and execute effective marketing, training, and awareness campaigns to promote the UF’s Compliance and Ethics Program.
Subject-Matter Expertise and Other Duties
Monitor the regulatory landscape within higher education compliance and ethics and continuously expand subject-matter expertise.
Participate in relevant compliance and ethics organizations, including attending meetings and conferences, participating in work groups, engaging in speaking opportunities, or performing other related activities.

Job Description:
Courier Services:Responsible for ensuring the verification of specimens picked up at various locations and the optimumtransport of specimens at correct temperatures to maintain sample integrity. Responsible for recording,monitoring, and maintaining the temperature ranges for frozen, ambient, incubated, and refrigeratedlaboratory specimens.Delivers mail and materials to clients as designated by the supervisor or lead courier on a daily basis.Fills client supply orders on a daily basis and meets 24 hours turn-around for consumables and 48 hoursfor printed material.Enforces the laboratory specimen rejection/acceptance policy by confirming patient identification onspecimens and requisitions.Maintains timeliness of assigned routes with associated timetables for each site to ensure turnaroundtimes and optimal specimen receipt and reporting are met. Create and maintain a database (provided routesheets) of stops, mileage, start and end times.As directed by supervisor or lead courier, assists with new hire training, safety, policies, and procedures.
Vehicle Maintenance: Performs basic vehicle maintenance (ie: all necessary fluids, fuel, and normal lubricants kept at requiredoperating levels). Lights, as well as air pressure in tires, should be checked periodically. Maintains vehiclein top operational condition and appearance. Operates in a non-destructive and careful manner throughthe utilization of primary roadways, slowing for rough roadways, railroad crossings, and construction sites,etc. Adheres to posted speed limits.Reports any potential vehicle malfunctions immediately to the designated person.Reports any accident or vehicle issues immediately and completes appropriate reports.Reports to the supervisor any medication used or illnesses requiring medications that could causedrowsiness, or any other reason for potential impairment.Drivers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles.
Client Compliance:Have the ability to speak conscientiously to existing and potential customers and represent the companyin the most professional manner.Escalate customer concerns or new customer opportunities to management.
Laboratory processes: Have strong organizational and critical thinking skills and a customer-focused mindset. Able to identifypotential customers they may discover along the way, and effectively communicate those discoveries toPathLabs Client Relations team. Work to better the customer experience by helping to solve problems,brighten days, and elevate concerns to management. Provide support to Laboratory personnel asrequired.
Expected Salary:
Starting salary is between $16.55 - 17.00 per hour
Required Qualifications:
Completion of ninth grade and possession of a classified driver's license appropriate to the type of vehicle operated.

Completion of 12th grade or equivalent.Good verbal and writing skillsKnowledge of medical terminology.Medical courier experienceBackground in customer serviceExperience with product deliveries and fulfillment
