The Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at the University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine invites applications for a tenure/tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Genetics with a research focus on the roles of DNA repetitive (tandem and interspersed repeats) sequence elements in neurological and neuromuscular disease. The Department has begun a major expansion of the faculty as part of a 5-year strategic plan. We seek outstanding creative investigators in any area of genetics, including but not limited to gene expression and regulation, functional genomics and systems biology, developmental genetics, immunogenetics, molecular mechanisms of disease, evolutionary genetics, and other related fields whose research will synergize with and further strengthen research in both MGM and the CNG.
The Department has active research programs in mammalian (human, mouse), Drosophila, viral, bacterial, and cancer genetics, together with expertise in gene discovery, genome and RNA editing, transcriptional and co/post-transcriptional regulation, disease pathomechanisms, RNA biochemistry, structural biology, protein biochemistry, and computational biology. The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida is seeking a research-practitioner with experience in collegiate mental health who thrives in an environment that values collaboration and support among team members and will serve as CWC’s Assistant Director for Research & Assessment/Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. The Assistant Director for Research & Assessment is responsible for the management of research, assessment, data collection, data analysis, report writing, and data dissemination/publication activities of the CWC.
In addition to these specific administrative duties, the job duties include:
Carrying a modest caseload including individual, couples and group counseling.

Job Description:
Statistical consulting with faculty, staff, and graduate students on applied research projects in agriculture, natural resources, and life sciences. Consulting activities include helping researchers define research questions, select appropriate statistical methods, evaluate experimental designs and sampling strategies, organize data for analysis, and interpret statistical results. Topics may include experimental design, ANOVA, regression, linear and generalized linear models, mixed models, repeated measures, multivariate analysis, and other applied statistical methods relevant to IFAS research.
Conducting reproducible statistical analyses using appropriate statistical software, primarily R and/or Python, and additional tools such as SAS, JMP, Stata, or SPSS as needed. Duties include data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, model fitting, model diagnostics, summarizing results, preparing analysis outputs, producing graphical representations of results, and explaining analytical approaches to researchers. The position may also use high-performance computing resources when appropriate for statistical or data-intensive analyses.
Assisting researchers with the preparation of publication-ready tables, figures, statistical summaries, methods descriptions, reports, abstracts, manuscripts, grant-related materials, and other research outputs. This includes helping ensure that statistical results are presented accurately, clearly, and in a format appropriate for scientific communication.
Supporting the development of statistical workflows, reproducible analysis scripts, and training materials for common consulting needs. This may include researching and evaluating R packages, Python tools, SAS procedures, Shiny applications, Google Colab notebooks, Jupyter notebooks, or other resources that may benefit IFAS researchers. These tools should support statistical analysis, teaching, consulting efficiency, or reproducible research rather than general software development.
Assisting with teaching, workshops, short courses, handouts, tutorials, and practical training activities related to applied statistics, experimental design, data analysis, data visualization, and reproducible workflows for faculty, staff, and students.
Contributing to the development and maintenance of online resources for the Statistical and Data Analytics Consulting Unit, including frequently asked statistical questions, example workflows, training materials, and guidance documents for common research design and data analysis issues.

Required Qualifications:

$65,000 to $75,000 annually depending on education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
A master’s degree with a major emphasis in speech-language pathology.

Knowledge and skill in administering, analyzing, interpreting, and explaining evaluation/assessment results to peers, other professionals and families.
Ability to work independently and effectively with others.
Ability to communicate effectively and courteously verbally and in writing.
Ability to organize and prioritize assignments.
Ability to interact effectively with staff and outside contacts.
Valid Florida licensure as a speech language pathologist with certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP) issued from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
Ability to communicate effectively and courteously verbally and in writing.
One year experience working with children.
Must have an active Florida license.

Job Description:
The University of Florida is looking for a Student Financial Aid Coordinator II to support scholarship programs within the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. In this role, you will help manage scholarship processes from start to finish; reviewing applications, maintaining accurate data, and collaborating with campus partners to ensure students have access to funding opportunities.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Scholarship Program Administration
Work closely with the Financial Aid Manager to support day-to-day scholarship operations
Manage and coordinate scholarship data, including setup, maintenance, and reconciliation
Review and process scholarship applications and related documentation, making award decisions based on established criteria and professional judgment
Ensure records are accurate and aligned with federal, state, and university guidelines
Monitor compliance with scholarship and financial aid regulations
Campus Collaboration
Serve as a point of contact for students and families, answering questions and helping them navigate financial aid and scholarship options
Partner with faculty, advisors, and staff to help guide students through scholarship opportunities and application processes
Provide training and support on scholarship systems, eligibility requirements, and awarding guidelines
Share scholarship information with campus partners to support outreach and awareness efforts
Data Oversight and Reporting
Monitor scholarship activity and maintain up-to-date records
Track deadlines and ensure required documentation is completed on time
Support reporting needs and ensure compliance requirements are met
Process Improvement
Identify ways to improve scholarship processes and workflows
Help implement changes that increase efficiency and accuracy
Contribute to maintaining reliable and effective scholarship systems
Other Duties
Deliver financial aid presentations to prospective students and families
Attend trainings and conferences to stay current on best practices
Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional travel in support of recruitment, yield, and financial aid events
Expected Salary:
$47,500 annually
