Job Description:
The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida is seeking a research-practitioner with experience in collegiate mental health who thrives in an environment that values collaboration and support among team members and will serve as CWC’s Assistant Director for Research & Assessment/Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. The Assistant Director for Research & Assessment is responsible for the management of research, assessment, data collection, data analysis, report writing, and data dissemination/publication activities of the CWC.
In addition to these specific administrative duties, the job duties include:
Carrying a modest caseload including individual, couples and group counseling.
Crisis intervention, campus consultation, outreach programs, clinical supervision.
Professional training and teaching, scholarly activities (professional presentations, leadership, and publications); and
Performing administrative and committee responsibilities as required.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
Evidence of expertise in current and emerging college-age mental health issues, and experience working in a college or university mental health setting.
Skilled at effective interactions with college-age populations, international students, parents/families, staff, faculty, and administrators.
Strong background with research and ability to plan/coordinate the initiation of a research study, research study protocols, and the establishment of operating policies and procedures.
Skilled with planning, implementing, and maintaining data collection and analysis systems in support of research studies; including coordination of the collection and analysis of research data.
Ability to maintain smooth, efficient day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities with the CWC; including serving as the primary administrative point of contact for the CWC for all research, data collection, data analysis, and publication activities.
At least one year of clinical-administrative and leadership experience, including strategic planning and/or progressively responsible experience.
Ability to plan and coordinate the staffing of research studies, to include the recruitment and administration of research support staff, as appropriate to the activity.
Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding individuals and groups through research, assessment, and strategic planning processes.
Strong background with monitoring the progress of research activities, develop and maintain records of research activities, prepare periodic and ad hoc reports, as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies.
Demonstrated understanding of the principles of human research protection standards, including Institutional Review Board protocols and procedures
Ability to implement quality control processes throughout research activities.
Effective communication, writing, critical thinking, and organizational skills required to develop and maintain policies, procedures, and clinical delivery systems for the agency and divisional/university reports.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and with external stakeholders, including University of Florida Institutional Review Board office and the Center for Collegiate Mental Health (CCMH).
Skilled in the use of technologies in support of data collection, analysis, and reporting; including (at minimum) Qualtrics, Excel, and SPSS, and open to learning about AI, Power BI, and other tools.
Demonstrated talent for collaboration and team building and ability to build and maintain effective, trusting working relationships that reflect kindness, mutual respect, and honesty, when working with a multitude of perspectives among university students, staff, and internal and external partners.
Ability to cope with change, to shift gears comfortably, and to handle risk and uncertainty.
Strong program development and evaluation skills required for clinical utilization tracking, clinical services training, outcome assessment, and quality assurance and utilization review.
A broad, systems thinker knowledgeable about organizations and how they work, combined with tact and diplomacy to navigate complex environments effectively.
Strong listening skills, with the patience to hear people out.
Demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards of professional practice, as well as an understanding of and commitment to viewpoint diversity, in the delivery and management of clinical services.
Proven ability to successfully interact with diverse perspectives among individuals and groups.
Knowledge of applicable laws, ethics, and professional standards pertaining to all mental health fields in Florida.

Job Description:
Program Leadership and Management • Serve as the UF’s designated compliance official for the Digital Accessibility Compliance Program • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of a new enterprise-wide accessibility compliance program • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and institutional priorities • Establish workflows, priorities, and service delivery standards for accessibility compliance activities • Manage intake and response processes for accessibility plans and accessibility conformance reports/VPATs submitted by colleges and departments • Engage with external vendors, as needed, and in collaboration with procurement and UF partners to address accessibility conformance and compliance matters.
Staff Supervision and Team Development • Supervise compliance analysts and any administrative support staff assigned to the program • Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development • Support onboarding, training, and skill development of team members • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented team culture
Policy Development and Compliance Oversight • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, standards, and procedures related to digital accessibility compliance • Interpret and apply applicable regulations, including ADA, Section 508, and WCAG guidelines • Ensure alignment of accessibility practices with institutional and system-wide requirements • Provide authoritative guidance on compliance matters to campus stakeholders
Consultation, Training, and Stakeholder Engagement • Conduct 1:1 consultations and group training sessions to support departments in developing Digital ADA Accessibility Compliance Plans • Advise faculty, staff, and leadership on accessibility requirements, risks, and remediation strategies • Collaborate with UFIT, procurement, legal, and administrative units to integrate accessibility into institutional processes • Serve as liaison to internal committees and external stakeholders on accessibility-related matters
Monitoring, Auditing, and Risk Management • Lead audits and reviews of digital systems, websites, and ICT for compliance • Oversee tracking of compliance status, findings, and remediation efforts • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to address gaps or vulnerabilities • Support retrospective reviews and compliance assessments

Required Qualifications:

Oversees day-to-day functions and operations of foundational career center services including customer service/stakeholder experiences, scheduling, communication and staffing for drop-in services/programs, and the Gator Career Closet. Supports operating hours and student employees’ scheduling and task management for foundational services. Coordinates Gator Career Closet functions including: inventory management, gathering donations of professional clothing items, and outreach to community partners supporting donations. Collaborates with C3 staff to build staffing schedules for campus events needing C3 participation including tabling. Creates and maintains files, calendar records, documents, and workflows before and after outreach engagements. Works with Business Administrative Services team to support additional customer service efforts including front desk maintenance and staffing as needed.
Provides foundational career planning services to all University of Florida students. Facilitates individual career planning appointments, drop-in services to University of Florida undergraduate and graduate students in topics such as interviewing skills, job search strategies, and general career decision making strategies. Creates educational resources for students, alumni, faculty, staff and employers such as presentations guides, handouts, and web content using PowerPoint and Canva. Delivers outreach presentations to classes, campus units, and student organizations. Works with outreach coordinator to staff presentations for student-led organizations after traditional work hours.
Provides administrative support for coordination and communication of Career Foundations and Academic Integration team events, programs, and partner meetings. Coordinates logistics and communications in various mediums to stakeholders including scheduling meetings and other team activities. Prepares meeting agendas, materials, arrangements, and events held within the team and other engagement activities for stakeholders. Conducts benchmarking research on trends in career learning and prepares reports for the team. Job Description:
Be an active member of a scientific group that develops and prototypes novel AI algorithms for impactful drug discovery problems involving sequence and structure modeling for protein, RNA, or small molecule.
Apply computational techniques, data analysis, and visualization methods for ongoing studies.
Train and validate large deep learning models at scale.
Develop optimized data pipelines to fuel deep learning models, and maximize the value of public and proprietary data assets.
Collaborate closely with PI, research assistants, computational biologists, experimental biologists, and chemists on research projects and scientific papers.
