    Financial Analyst I

    Classification Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area.
    Job Description:

    Data Analysis and Reporting - Assists with analysis of current and historical accounting data and other
    information to make projections for use in short- and long-range financial planning. Analyzes financial
    statements and prepares and analyzes financial reports to represent current and projected financial status.
    Participates in projecting future trends and preparing operational forecasts and cash flow analysis. Studies
    economic and business trends. Assists with the preparation of reports which summarize and forecast
    business activity and financial performance in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past,
    present, and expected outcomes. Review monthly budget versus actuals variance report and data.
    Investigate data discrepancies and report findings to Assistant Directors.


    Auditing Compliance - Assist with pulling data and compiling reports for IFA unit reviews. May include
    spot checking unit(s) finances to check for negative balances and accurate programmatic distributions.
    Conduct audits of faculty administration, teaching, research, and extension appointments to check for accuracy in payroll distributions. Assists in year-end audits and
    in ensuring the accuracy of accounting data.


    Fee for Service Activity Review and Audits - Compiles data and reports for IFAS Fee for Service
    Activities and conducts audits annually to ensure revenue and expenses are review and approved. Assist
    the Assistant Director with Review and follow up for annual Rate Review process.


    Budget Planning, Analysis, and Reporting - Assists in correcting account balances and reviewing
    proper accounting controls and procedures. Assists in preparing, developing, and monitoring budgets.
    Assist as needed with indirect cost analysis.


    Salesforce - Respond to various tickets regarding financial inquiries and business processes.

    Expected Salary:

    $25.38/hr

    Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area.
    Preferred:

    Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Proficiency with Microsoft TEAMS, Word, Excel,
    and PowerBI.

    Attention to detail.

    Proficiency with Enterprise Analytics.
