Classification Title:	OPS Facilities Assistant
Classification Minimum Requirements:	N/A
Job Description:	This is a temporary OPS position at the University of Florida. Work schedule and hours may vary based on operational needs. Primary Responsibilities Assist the Facility Manager with daily operational tasks and building support activities Help with office, lab, classroom, and event space setup or breakdown Assist with furniture moves and light equipment relocation Support coordination of work orders and basic facilities requests Help monitor supply inventory and assist with restocking facility materials Perform routine walkthroughs of building areas and report issues or maintenance needs Provide logistical support for special events, meetings, or departmental activities Assist with general organizational tasks related to building operations and storage areas Perform other related duties as assigned
Expected Salary:	$14 per hour
Required Qualifications:	High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift and move materials up to approximately 25–40 pounds Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred:	Experience assisting with facilities operations, building support, or maintenance coordination Familiarity with university or museum environments Basic problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks
