    A Bachelor’s Degree in computer or physical science, statistics, bioinformatics, analytics, or similar field and two years of experience; Master’s Degree in computer or physical science, statistics, bioinformatics, analytics, or similar field.

    Job Description:

    Software Development and Maintenance

    • Develops, tests, and maintains software applications supporting research, instructional, and operational initiatives. Assists in translating project requirements into functional software solutions using established development frameworks and tools. Modifies existing applications, troubleshoots technical issues, and contributes to system enhancements under the guidance of senior team members.

    Research Computing and Application Support

    • Supports the development and implementation of software solutions used in research environments. Assists with data processing workflows, integrations, cloud-based services, AI-enabled applications, and research technology platforms. Participates in software deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities to ensure reliable operation of project systems.

    Systems Analysis and Integration

    • Assists in gathering technical requirements and documenting system specifications. Supports integration efforts between applications, databases, APIs, cloud services, and third-party platforms. Helps evaluate technical solutions and participates in testing and validation activities.

    Quality Assurance and Documentation

    • Participates in software testing, debugging, and quality assurance processes. Creates and maintains technical documentation, including code comments, user guides, deployment documentation, and development records. Assists with version control and software lifecycle management practices.

    Collaboration and Stakeholder Support

    • Works collaboratively with project teams, faculty, researchers, designers, and developers to support project objectives. Communicates technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences and participates in project meetings, planning activities, and status updates.
    Expected Salary:

    Required Qualifications:

    A Bachelor’s Degree in computer or physical science, statistics, bioinformatics, analytics, or similar field and two years of experience; Master’s Degree in computer or physical science, statistics, bioinformatics, analytics, or similar field.

    Preferred:
    • Experience developing software applications using one or more programming languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript, Java, or similar languages.
    • Familiarity with software development frameworks, libraries, and development tools.
    • Experience with web application development technologies and modern development workflows.
    • Familiarity with software testing, debugging, and version control systems such as Git.
    • Exposure to cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or research computing environments.
    • Experience working with APIs, databases, and system integrations.
    • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, data analytics, or data processing workflows.
    • Exposure to XR, simulation, visualization, or educational technology applications is desirable.
    • Understanding of software engineering principles including maintainability, security, scalability, and documentation.
    • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies and development methodologies.
    • Interest in developing technology solutions that support research, education, and public service missions.
