Classification Title:	Student Assistant – NON CLER & ADMIN
Classification Minimum Requirements:	Good work ethic, strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to instructions/SOPs. High school diploma Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions with a good work ethic
Job Description:	Primary Responsibilities Your main duties will involve hands-on laboratory work in assisting other lab members perform the following vital laboratory procedures. Genotyping by polymerase chain reaction Protein detection assays (western blots and immunofluorescence) Histology Microscopy Additional Responsibilities You will also be essential to our lab's organization and operations, including: assist maintaining clean and organized lab areas assist managing ordering and supply inventories assist maintain mouse colony updating spreadsheets and other lab documents
Expected Salary:	$15-$16 per hour based on experience and skills.
Required Qualifications:
Preferred:	Interest in scientific career advancement or currently pursuing a science degree (not required) Prior lab experience Basic knowledge of genetics and cell biology Ability to work well in a team-based environment Ability to multi-task and self-organize
