    Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

     

    The Human Health Research Coordinator (HHRC) is responsible for effectively coordinating human health research studies, collaborating closely with PIs, research nurses, midwives, and other research staff. The HHRC will ensure the delivery of project objectives by coordinating all aspects of human health research activity, monitoring timelines, regulatory compliance, and reporting to the Team Lead Human Health Research Coordinator. The HHRC will also provide research support, assisting with research methods, protocols, data acquisition, report generation, participant engagement, and other tasks related to the research.

    This role requires availability to work between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm, with the remaining hours arranged flexibly across the week to align with participant availability and broader project needs.

    This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), fixed term (2 years) opportunity.

    The salary range for this role is $68,101 - $79,300 per annum pro-rated, depending on experience and qualifications.

    He kōrero mōu | About you

    You will bring experience coordinating or supporting human health research studies, with a strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research ethics, and data management. You’ll be confident managing project timelines and research protocols, and have excellent communication skills - including the ability to engage warmly and professionally with study participants by phone and in person.

    You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as nursing, public health, science, allied health, social work or education, and you’ll be comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative and multidisciplinary team. A high level of accuracy and ethical awareness is essential, as is a current driver’s licence, as travel to participant visits across Auckland may be required.

    Familiarity with REDCap or similar data capture systems, and prior experience in community-based research or clinical trials, would be an advantage.
