    Job Description:

    The Employment Operations & Records (EOR) department of UF Human Resources is responsible for all electronic transactions that support the hiring and employment changes during the lifecycle of UF employees. As part of this team, the Human Resources Office Assistant will provide administrative support to campus partners by supporting EOR’s mission while performing the following duties:

    • Complete employment verifications

    • Provide support for E-Verify case reviews

    • Assist new hires with onboarding troubleshooting that includes but not limited to GatorStart

    • Responsible for answering incoming emails and phone calls while providing excellent customer service

    • Aid with employee data updates such as name changes; updates to education, social security numbers, and other data updates as needed

    • Assist with updating Power BI dashboards and reports using existing templates and prepared datasets.

    • Perform routine data validation and verify information for accuracy prior to report distribution.

    • Help organize reporting files and documentation and notify staff of any discrepancies identified.

    • Assist with routine report refreshes and other recurring administrative tasks using established procedures.

    • Support staff by testing reports, comparing report outputs to source data, and identifying items that may require further review.

    • Maintain organized electronic files and documentation related to reports and departmental processes.

    Expected Salary:

    $16/hr

    Required Qualifications:

    This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

    Preferred:

    Preference will go to students who can commit to at least 1 year (3 semesters) to the position.

    Experience with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Power BI is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working with data, following established procedures, and learning new software applications. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, customer service, and the ability to accurately review information are highly desirable. Familiarity with Power BI or Power Automate through coursework or personal projects is a plus but is not required.
