| Job Description: |
Patient Communication and Care Coordination - Answers and triages telephone calls from referring providers, patients, and caregivers using established clinical protocols. Provides patients with instructions regarding procedures, treatments, medications, and follow-up care. Coordinates communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff to facilitate continuity of care. Clinical Support and Patient Care Activities - Assists physicians, advanced practice providers, and residents with outpatient clinic procedures and patient examinations. Administers injections and performs approved clinical support activities, including specimen collection and dressing application, in accordance with established policies and protocols. Prepares treatment and examination rooms and maintains clinical supplies and equipment necessary for patient care activities within the Vascular and Interventional Radiology & VIR clinic. Medical Documentation and Electronic Health Record Management - Enters and processes orders within the electronic medical record system. Maintains accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with departmental procedures, institutional standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable policies. Imaging and Procedure Coordination - Coordinates intake, scheduling, and follow-up imaging appointments for Y-90 patients. Assists with arranging inpatient admissions, coordinating procedural logistics, and ensuring required documentation and imaging are completed prior to treatment. Professional Development and Compliance - Participates in continuing education and training activities to maintain competency and remain current within area{s) of responsibility. Completes all required certifications, annual trainings, and compliance requirements in a timely manner. Administrative and Team Collaboration - Attends departmental meetings and participates in regular meetings with supervisor to exchange information, discuss workflow, and receive guidance and direction regarding clinic operations and patient care activities. Operational Support and Workflow Coordination - Collaborates with faculty, residents, and clinic staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and timely delivery of interventional Radiology services. Assists in coordinating clinic workload and communicates pertinent patient information to healthcare providers to support quality patient care. |
| Expected Salary: |
$16.76 - $20.42, commensurate with experience. |
