    Job Description:

    This position is located in the College of Medicine-Jacksonville Office of Educational Affairs. This position works under the direction of the Office of Educational Affairs Leadership to coordinate clinical departments’ participation in the student education programs of the UFCOM-J.

    Essential Functions:

    • Assists in managing multiple departments’ student course assignments and scheduling using New Innovations (NI), a web-based educational management tool, by entering student demographic information, educational course assignments, and housing requests for students from UF and non-UF academic programs, including, but not limited to, medical, physician assistant, advanced practice nursing, OMFS, and podiatry. Tracks schedule changes as they occur and makes appropriate updates. Provides reports to their assigned department clerkship directors and others as needed regarding student schedules and assignments. Manages the student rotation experience, including pre-rotation communication, student check-in and check-out, and troubleshooting/other student assistance during rotations.
    • Participates as a liaison with UFCOM-Gainesville clerkship directors, administrators and the Physician Assistant Program for the purposes of ensuring accuracy of student rotations, grade reporting, evaluation reporting & housing information.
    • Responsible for all student course, faculty, and resident evaluation matching, including monitoring timely student, faculty and resident completion of evaluations in both Gainesville and Jacksonville systems.
    • Participates in the data collection of COM reports required for accreditation, promotion and tenure, continuous quality improvement, AAR, and other essential functions.
    • Assists department clerkship directors in managing and reporting evaluations of students required for clerkship and course final evaluations, including providing grade committee support
    • Assists in tracking evaluations and providing departmental reports for determination of educational awards, including exemplary teachers as well as UFCOM-J end-of-year student education awards.
    • Assists with special projects and performs other additional duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Dean for Educational Affairs, Assistant Dean of Medical Education and the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs.
    Expected Salary:

    $55,500 depending on education and experience

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Preferred:

    Knowledge of computers and current computer software projects.
    Ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple project independently.
    Ability to effectively communicate with faculty and staff.
    Ability to interpret general office priorities and work assignments.
    Ability to collect and interpret data for analysis and reporting.
