    Job Description:

    The University of Florida College of Dentistry is accepting applications for a Clinical Service Representative. This position in Dental Records/Patient Registration requires cross-training to proficiently handle responsibilities in both dental records and patient registration. This representative provides clerical and non-clerical support to the Office of Clinic Administration.

    Support of Patient Registration: Aid the Patient Registration Area with management of patient check in, questions, phone calls, college switchboard etc. This includes learning all aspects of the operations in this area from axium usage to scanning as well as collecting and documenting PHI Accurately enter insurance information, identification, and obtain signatures for consent forms. Professionally answer calls from patients and internal personnel. Maintain cleanliness and order of your area including the lobby. Comply with safety and security requirements for this area at all times.

    Record Management and Compliance: Duplicate records as they come in at the front desk. Patients may want them to be emailed. Use of secure portal and compliance with the HIPPA disclosure form. Complete documentation of action taken

    Operational Support: Crossed trained to fill in for immediate supervisor (LP# 00010929) during absences.

    This position requires the need to comply with various projects that come on a timely basis. Other duties as assigned.

    Expected Salary:

    $15.80 - $16.86 per hour

    Required Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience.

    Preferred:
    • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
    • Skill to use computer effectively.
    • Able to take instruction from supervisor(s) and carry to satisfactory completion.
    • Able to understand and apply rules, priorities, policies and procedures to daily/overall work schedule.
    • Ability to establish and maintain good work relationships with faculty, staff and students.
