    Classification Title:

    Fiscal Assistant II-Time Limited

    Classification Minimum Requirements:

    High school diploma or equivalent and three years of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience.

    Job Description:

    Financial Transaction Processing:

    • Process and review daily financial transactions for construction projects in myUFL, including purchase orders, invoices, and payment applications
    • Verify accuracy of transactions and ensure all required approvals are in place before processing
    • Serve as primary point of contact for construction teams on transaction processing for fee developer projects
    • Coordinate approvals with Planning, Design, and Construction and monitor for timely completion

    Data Management & Reporting:

    • Compile and translate construction financial data from multiple systems into clear, consolidated reports
    • Collaborate with Finance & Accounting, campus partners, and stakeholders to support reporting and data needs
    • Assist with audit preparation, research, and documentation requests
    • Support project teams in monitoring construction budgets and expenditures
    • Provide analytical, financial, and compliance support to the department

    Departmental Assistance:

    • Assist departmental leadership with administrative and operational tasks as needed

    Process Documentation & Improvement:

    • Review and document financial processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
    • Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement solutions across teams

    Special Projects:

    • Other duties as assigned by the department leadership
    Expected Salary:

    $20.11 - $22.51 per Hour

    Preferred:
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with accounting software
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to apply problem solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and business‑reporting abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
    • Proficient in Excel
    • Strong interpersonal skills
