| Job Description: |
Provide advising support for designated student programming organizations and committees. • Responsible for the management and coordination of the Signature Events program including but not limited to developing and maintaining UF Traditions, event creation and implementation, and on-site event management. Assist the Office of Campus Engagement in its efforts to provide support, advising, training, and oversight to ensure effective and comprehensive campus programs, events, and traditions at UF. • Assist the office initiative to develop and support large scale campus events and traditions through the Signature Events program. Assist with administrative functions of the Office of Campus Engagement, including the areas of Campus Events and Traditions and Student Government Advising & Operations. • Develop, conduct, and analyze research and assessments for various programs and services of the Office of Campus Engagement including but not limited to programming needs assessment, effectiveness of programs and services including outcomes assessment and student satisfaction. Contributes to the Division and University through active participation on committees and division-wide initiatives (example opportunities: emergency dean on call, event support team, conduct committee, student welcome events, etc); and, other duties as assigned. This position will report to the Associate Director of Campus Events and Traditions. General direction will be rendered through established goals and expectations, on-going input and feedback via regular communication with employee on a daily basis, and regular performance reviews. Directly supervises the following positions: Indirectly supervises the following positions: 40 hours per week, with additional time required during peak periods such at the beginning and end of each semester. Frequent night and weekend hours are required. |
| Expected Salary: |
$58,000 to $60,000 Annual Salary |
| Required Qualifications: |
Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and four years of experience. Valid driver's license. |
| Preferred: |
• A Master’s Degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or comparable field or a Bachelor’s in an appropriate field and 4+ (four) years relevant experience |
