    The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning’s mission is to improve the quality of teaching, learning, and childcare. We research, develop, and scale educational innovations for adults and children that put all learners on trajectories for lifelong success. Specifically, the Center targets kindergarten readiness, 3rd grade reading proficiency, and algebra proficiency as critical milestones in children's educational trajectory that are predictive of success in school and life. The Center works at the nexus of research, practice, and policy to develop sustainable systems that leverage educational technologies and improve the implementation of research-based practices.     Responsibilities:

    Early Childhood Content Design, Development, and Implementation

    • Develop content and implementation supports for early childhood professional learning resources through rapid prototyping and field-testing within the local region, in collaboration with the Early Childhood Education Manager, the Assistant Director, and Director.
    • Design face-to-face and online learning experiences for early childhood practitioners at all levels, including in-classroom teachers and those who support them (coaches, facilitators, mentors, and administrators), with a focus on job-embedded, practice-based strategies.
    • Lead and support the regional pilot implementation of early childhood products across diverse delivery formats, utilizing the high-density provider network to gather immediate practitioner feedback.
    • Develop implementation guides, facilitator materials, and supports that promote high-fidelity use of products in real-world settings by directly observing and responding to practitioner interactions with prototype materials.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between content design and implementation expectations for products.
    • Author high-quality, evidence-based content that reflects current research and best practices, including the development of scripts for online learning experiences, the facilitation of video capture featuring local educators modeling best practices, and guidance for real-world application in early childhood settings.
    • Support the implementation of products by developing tools, resources, and facilitation supports that promote transfer of learning into practice for early childhood practitioners, coaches, and facilitators.
    • Maintain current knowledge of research and best practices in early childhood education, online learning, adult learning theory, instructional practices, and facilitation, and apply this knowledge to content development and implementation design.
    • Consult disaggregated data and conduct in-person focus groups with regional practitioners to guide product development, continuous improvement, and implementation strategies.
    • Collaborate with and inform internal and external research teams on findings from field-based engagements to ensure alignment between product design, implementation, and research priorities.

    Content Quality Assurance

    • Author developmentally appropriate, evidence-based strategies that reflect effective, job-embedded professional learning practices.
    • Analyze user feedback, field observations from short-cycle pilots, implementation data, research, and market trends to inform rapid, iterative continuous improvement of content and implementation supports.
    • Ensure that content adheres to outlined templates and aligns with evidence-based practices and intended implementation models.
    • Adhere to established schedules and deadlines.
    • Review content and materials for quality, usability, and alignment to standards and professional competencies, leveraging regional stakeholder engagement to make real-time, data-informed improvements as necessary.
    • Work collaboratively with the early childhood Product Manager to meet defined product hypotheses, value propositions, market demand, and end user needs, including successful implementation and user adoption.
    • Attend product kickoffs, weekly standups, and retrospectives to inform content development and implementation needs while maintaining project timelines and budget.
    • Maintain awareness of emerging research and trends to ensure content quality remains current and relevant.

    Accreditation Support and Team Collaboration

    • Provide support to the Center’s Coordinator for the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), maintaining and revising internal processes, documentation, and annual report submission/accreditation applications as needed.
    • Troubleshoot challenges and address them as they arise; coordinate with other project staff and regional partners providing implementation support to ensure consistency and effective communication structures across initiatives.
    • Collaborate across teams, including research and evaluation partners, to ensure alignment between accreditation requirements, content development, and implementation practices.

    Other Duties as Assigned

    Expected Salary:

    $66,000 - $71,000

    Required Qualifications:

    Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
