| JOB SUMMARY: |
The Education and Child Development Department at NORC at the University of Chicago is looking for a Data Analyst I or II (we are open to hiring at either level) to work on education topics including career pathways, post-secondary campus climate research, evaluation studies, statistical methods, data science, and analysis across a broad range of education and social policy issues. Qualified applicants must be U.S. citizens due to security clearance requirements for projects. Location: This is a hybrid role based in our Chicago Loop office, with a minimum of six days per month in the office. The Data Science job family exists across multiple departments and provides analytical expertise that leads to important insights for a portfolio of NORC projects and strategic initiatives. Data Analysts perform tasks such as importing, cleaning, transforming, validating or modeling data. They may also support the presentation of data by developing charts, graphs and tables. In addition, Data Analysts may assist in data collection from primary or secondary data sources (e.g., administrative records, commercial data, social media data), identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets and maintain databases/data systems, dictionaries, etc. Data Analysts are expected to work collaboratively in a team environment. |

| SALARY AND BENEFITS: |
The pay range for this position is $62,000-$73,000. This position is classified as regular. Regular staff are eligible for NORC’s comprehensive benefits program. Benefits include, but are not limited to:
