Position Summary(Basic Job Function)
This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.
Unit Position Summary
The On-Call Education Digital Coordinator & Family Engagement Support Team Member supports the development, organization, and distribution of educational resources and digital content designed to engage children, families, educators, and community partners. This position assists with creating educational materials, maintaining digital learning platforms, and supporting family engagement initiatives aligned with organizational education goals.
This flexible, on-call role may support special projects, events, productions, community outreach efforts, and digital content management as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and formatting of educational materials, lesson plans, discussion guides, and family engagement resources.
- Upload, organize, and maintain educational content across digital platforms including websites, learning management systems, PBS LearningMedia, social media, and shared databases.
- Support digital asset management including videos, graphics, metadata, and accessibility standards.
- Assist with family and community engagement events, workshops, screenings, and outreach initiatives.
- Coordinate communication and follow-up with educators, families, and community partners.
- Provide administrative and project support for education initiatives and media productions.
- Help track participation metrics, audience engagement, and program outcomes.
- Ensure content aligns with organizational branding, educational standards, and audience needs.
- Collaborate with education staff, producers, and community stakeholders on special projects.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Family Studies, or related field preferred.
- Experience with digital content management, educational programming, or community engagement.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and digital publishing tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
- Experience working with children, families, schools, or nonprofit/community organizations preferred.
- Knowledge of educational media and family engagement strategies.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms, or video uploading/editing tools.
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive communication practices.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for community events and productions.
