Job Description:	The Opportunity The Student Health Care Center (SHCC) at the University of Florida is seeking multiple Clinical Service Representative II positions. In this role, you'll be a key player in our mission, collaborating with students, medical providers, and others to help them access healthcare services. Your responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, ensuring efficient check-in/check-out processes, and being a friendly voice answering phones. You'll also interface with various University of Florida departments to facilitate student program clearances and work closely with our administrative support and nursing staff to support clinic functions. The key responsibilities of the position include the following: Scheduling Schedule patient appointments, tests, procedures, and minor surgeries in person, by telephone and/or via MyChart inquiries. Responsible for reviewing and updating patient account detail, entering and verifying insurance. Triage all incoming calls to the clinic, forward calls, and consult or defer medical questions/advice to appropriate clinical staff. Work effectively with a wide range of students whose needs may be difficult to assess on initial contact. Check-in and Check-out Greets patients and visitors warmly, professionally and provides a patient friendly point of entry and exit. Obtain all health history, physical forms, consent forms, copies of identification/ insurance cards and other required documentation during the check-in and check-out process. Verify student status/eligibility for services and select appropriate guarantor for appointment. Ensures scanning of paper documents in EPIC are properly completed, labeled, and placed in the correct tab of the patient EMR Administrative Support Processes incoming mail, coordinates ordering of office supplies and assists with maintaining adequate inventory levels in the support area. Manage in-basket pools and troubleshoot patient care issues while acting as a liaison between students, clinical staff, and external departments for any scheduling-related needs. Provide coverage in other medical team areas (as necessary). Perform other duties as required to support the overall mission of the department. Typical Schedule: • Monday through Friday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM (08:00 AM to 04:30 PM during summer and break weeks). Sunday Clinic during the Fall & Spring terms (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM) • 40 hours per week • Hours and days may vary due to the needs of the SHCC • Clinic work location: Student Health Care Center on Campus About the Student Health Care Center (SHCC) The mission of the SHCC is to help every student achieve optimal health in pursuing personal and academic success. Preferred:	EXPERIENCE • Experience with computer programs for word processing and various computer software applications • Experience with computer generated appointment systems and EHR KNOWLEDGE • Knowledge of computer programs for word processing and various computer software applications • Knowledge of computer generated appointment systems and EHR • Working knowledge of SHCC functions, policies, and confidentiality procedures ABILITIES • Ability to work independently • Ability to organize and maintain patient records • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing • Ability to evaluate problems and implement solutions • Ability to compile and analyze data for administrative decisions
