    Job Description:

    Classification Title: OPS Student Assistant
    Classification Minimum Requirements:

    This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through
    student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
    Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

    Job Description:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Customer Service:

    Greet and assist visitors with parking and facility-related questions in a friendly and professional manner. Provide accurate information regarding parking locations, regulations, and available services. Address and resolve visitor concerns and complaints promptly and effectively.

    Transaction Processing:

    Process credit card transactions for parking fees accurately and efficiently.

    Ensure all payment transactions are completed following the department's policies and procedures.

    Event Support:

    Assist with parking operations during events, including directing traffic, managing parking areas, and ensuring efficient use of parking spaces.

    Provide support to event organizers with parking logistics and crowd management.

    Monitor and report any issues or incidents during events to the appropriate personnel.

    Administrative Duties:

    Maintain accurate records of transactions, visitor interactions, and any incidents.

    Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation as required.

    Other:

    Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the Transportation and Parking Services department.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

    Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

    Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

    Work Environment:

    Fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on customer service.

    Interaction with a diverse range of visitors, including students, staff, and the public.

    Involvement in outdoor event settings.

    A criminal background will be conducted.

    Expected Salary:

    $15.00 Hourly

    Required Qualifications:
