Position Function:
This position provides oversight of social media and assists in the development and distribution of creative content and storytelling for the football program.
Salary Grade: 14

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day management and execution of all social media campaigns and assisting in the overall social media and storytelling strategy for the football program.
2. Develop, grow and engage fans across key social media accounts.
3. Maintain a posting calendar to deliver high-quality, original social media content.
4. Collaborate with other football creative content team members to develop and plan graphics, video, and photo requests that will be executed on social media platforms.
5. Ideate, produce and post content for the football program’s social platforms.
6. Work collaboratively with the Communications office to stay up to date with program news and press releases that need to be shared socially.
7. Leverage analytics tools to track overall performance, increase engagement and compile weekly and monthly reports.
8. Work with various department units to ideate and plan how social media and content supports recruiting, fan experience, ticket sales, Bulldog Athlete Services, Bulldog Club and special events.
9. Produce and distribute content that communicates a strategic football and university message to a broad audience in many different media formats.
10. Successfully manage multiple projects concurrently, while meeting project budget and deadlines.
11. Manage pregame, in-game and postgame social media posts across all channels.
12. Remain relevant with digital and social media standards, trends and technology and evaluate emerging technologies and platforms with a goal of implementing strategies as appropriate.
13. Assist with the digital strategy for the Hail State App and HailState.com as it relates to the football program.
14. Generate and distribute content to student-athletes.
15. Performs related duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach, Senior Director of Football Creative Strategy, Director of Football Content & Strategy and Senior Associate Athletics Director for Communications & Content.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Communications, Digital Media, Videography, Photography, or related field
Experience (yrs.): One (1) year in related area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of principles and practices of social media and creative content.
• Ability to create and produce creative content using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment.
• Ability to work under quick turnaround times, across multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
• Knowledge of data-driven decision-making and understanding of social media analytics.
• Experience in copywriting, exceptional writing and proofreading skills with an attention to detail.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
• No unusual physical requirements. Requires limited lifting of files and records and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
• Frequent- External imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one’s control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
• Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
