Job Description:

Project Coordination –

The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the UF I-Corps team and will coordinate activities to engage UF faculty, postdocs, students, and staff as well as community innovators and entrepreneurs in NSF I-Corps training. This individual will be responsible for implementing the day-to-day I-Corps training activities and support the efficient functioning of UF I-Corps programs in compliance with university policies, NSF National Innovation Network best practices and Southeast Hub guidance. They will develop and maintain an event calendar, including training sessions, events and deadlines and create standard operating procedures for events and activities that can be implemented and improved over time.
They will meet with stakeholders to determine stakeholder expectations regarding the project and conduct project meetings and communicate project status with stakeholders, project team members, vendors and supervisors. They will research, analyze, and seek resources for resolution of issues that impede project progress, establish and maintain relationships with the business units and key partner groups to understand their business needs, ensure alignment on objectives, and ensure ongoing buy-in across all project activities. This position will translate business objectives into projects with clearly defined scope, timing, deliverables, resources, and key measures of success and facilitate meetings and drive project issues through to resolution. They will proactively manage and communicate ongoing activities and changes in activities, identify potential crisis and devise contingency plans. The Project Manager will foster a supportive and collaborative culture within the program to encourage teams to share ideas, challenges, and lessons learned, to build a strong community that nurtures innovation and growth.

Marketing and Outreach –
- Support activities to raise awareness of I-Corps programs through a variety of in-person and online outreach mechanisms including tabling events, online marketing and promotion, as well as organizing seminars, town halls and presentations.
- Gather data to assess effectiveness of marketing strategy and adapt to engage the right audience.
- Develop and coordinate presentation and promotional materials for distribution.
- Coordinate logistics, resources and staff for outreach activities and meetings.

Team Recruiting logistics –
- Maintain list of potential participants, respond to inquiries, share information with participants and follow up promptly to engage, teams and mentors.
- Monitor team recruitment logistics including application intake and cohort assignment coordination.
- Keep participants informed of upcoming cohorts and requirements.

Host Training Activities -
- Coordinate with stakeholders and organize logistics, resources and staff to conduct training sessions.
- Prepare and share training materials with participants, including setting up online learning systems and communication channels to ensure they are ready before training begins.
- Secure training venue, and organize presentation logistics including coordination with instructors, uploading materials and managing Zoom communications.
- Maintain clear and timely communications to keep participants informed of training requirements, instructions and upcoming deadlines.

Data Management and Reporting –
Conduct pre and post project assessments and evaluations. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
- Maintain accurate records of UF I-Corps activities using available resources including internal databases
- Distribute and collect feedback on surveys and tabulate responses to track metrics including the number of participants supported, resources utilized, and outcomes achieved
- Generate regular reports on key performance indicators and present findings to management and stakeholders.
- Use data insights to identify trends, measure impact, and make data-driven recommendations for program enhancements.

Participation in Southeast Hub Partners, Committees and National Innovation Network meetings –
Support the continuous development of best practices and tools for project management and execution.
Support UF’s participation in the Southeast Hub activities, learn and share best practices to implement I Corps and collaborate on Hub activities so that the goals of the program are met.

Support Pathways and Other UF Innovate Training and Support Activities as Assigned –
Support UF Innovate team to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship at UF and in the region.

Expected Salary:

Salary commensurate with experience and expertise

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree with relevant experience implementing I-Corps, entrepreneurship, or other training programs.

Basic grant accounting skills
