The University of Florida Veterinary Hospital at the World Equestrian Center (WEC), provides Small Animal primary care and urgent care services and Equine sports medicine, rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging services. A Veterinary Technician based in Small Animal services at the UFVH at WEC, assist clinicians with routine and urgent examinations, treatments, clinical procedures, and hospitalization nursing care. An individual in this position must possess a good base knowledge of veterinary medicine and enjoy learning new things. Why work for UF? We encourage you to join our team and grow with us to make a difference. Benefits: Available Shifts: The hospital requires coverage 24 hours/7 days a week. Typically schedules consist of 8, 10, or 13.5 hour shifts. Will be assigned to a primary shift, generally: Day shift, Evening Shift or Night Shift. Reassignment to a different primary shift, rotating shifts, split shifts and extended shifts may be required and assigned depending on hospital needs. Assigned days may vary Sunday through Saturday, weekends and holidays included. This position also requires working alternate shifts, holidays, weekends, or “on-call duty.” This position is considered essential personnel and requires a post-offer health assessment. |

Minimum Requirements: |
Veterinary Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Credentialed veterinary technician |
