Position Function:
This position is responsible for the communication and logistics efforts within the Office of Orientation and Events. This position will utilize a CRM system to assist in the planning and implementation of recruitment events and the new student Orientation program. This position will supervise a Graduate Assistant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the CRM (Slate) system and other technologies needed in coordination with the event planning. This includes the collaboration and planning of all pre-and post-event communications.
• Primary staff member overseeing email and phone communication, as well as coverage of the phone and email.
• Responsible for logistics and planning including event management, room reservations, meal planning, AV needs, accommodations, etc.
• Supervise the Graduate Assistant
• Responsible for informational/instructional videos with the Marketing team and MSU TV Center for all events and Orientation
• Updating communication plans and website content
• Partner with Division of Student Affairs and ITS on updates
• Partner with Transportation (parking, golf carts, shuttles) on needs with events and Orientation sessions.
• Oversee the Campus Partner and Services Fair for Orientation sessions
• Partner with Special Populations groups for Orientation (ACCESS, Promise Program, Summer Bridge, CFR, etc.)
• Serving on the individual interview committee for Orientation Leader selection
• Attend Orientation Leader professional development trips, community service projects, and monthly fall meetings
• Attend and participate in the Orientation Leader Retreat
• Other tasks related to Orientation
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration or related field and 2-4 years experience.
Experience working with Slate Technolutions software, or other similar CRM systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in student development, counseling, or a related area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Excellent administrative, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, including
experience in supervision.
2. Well-developed interpersonal, teamwork, verbal and written communication skill.
3. Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
4. Demonstrated ability to manage/coordinate multiple skills.
5. Independent self-starter with strong work ethic.
