Job Description:

Primarily responsible for academic coordination for the program on the Orlando College of Pharmacy Academic Campus. Primary duties encompass the management of courses including the coordination of the academic component, administrative support, and oversight of the courses in close conjunction with faculty and instructional design team to meet course objectives, and outcomes. Incumbent is responsible for managing TBL (Team Based Learning) sessions, prepare materials for TBL sessions, look over materials from ID team, and suggest improvements/propose possible issues with course materials. The Program Specialist will serve as support in administration and management of courses, and facilitation of student support to include classroom support/management. Assists in collaboration with the faculty to provide smooth delivery of the course, and assistance with students. Acts as primary liaison for students on individual campuses for questions pertaining to grading, due dates, emails, points of contact, etc.

Course Support: Responsible for assisting in the management of class sessions for interactive group learning. In collaboration with the faculty, academic coordinators, and instructional design team, assist with the management and delivery of multiple courses, including course content, and other course related materials. Responsible for partnering with the instructional technologies team to get course content delivered/executed.

Student and Faculty Support: Responsible for support relating to the delivery of the course with the ability to perform independently with input from the faculty member. This position will serve as the primary liaison for student contact in reference to course logistics on distance campuses. Communicates, and conveys pertinent information to students, providing information as requested including accessing learning materials and directions for assignments. This position requires the ability to provide problem resolution and effective decision-making concerning student issues.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor that includes but is not limited to periodic maintenance and updates of forms, and web content. Create and update forms and policies as needed for each program. Assist with student portfolios and document required program activities.

Expected Salary:

Expected salary $50,000; Commensurate with Education and Experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) training
- Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) training

EXPERIENCE: Experience in facilitating groups/learners

KNOWLEDGE
- Basic knowledge of computer and AV technology
- Basic knowledge of education/training software (such as Canvas, ExamSoft, and virtual classroom software)

SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organizational skills (with emphasis on details)

ABILITIES
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to identify when input from others is needed
