Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an intermediate level Application Access and Security Analyst to join Applications, Development, and Integrations (ADI), a unit within UFIT, and will support the university’s success through service and operational excellence.

Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other employees who are dedicated and focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida’s innovative and inspirational community.

This role is responsible for day-to-day oversight of ERP user access control privileges. This position assures that the ERP implementation and all subsequent modifications to all business applications include adequate security and control measures. Working with application support and implementation teams the security analyst is an in-house application-level subject matter expert who diligently assists with the implementation and ongoing improvement of enterprise application security.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

  • Participate in discovery activities with the ERP vendor(s) and share documented requirements. Work with functional areas to refine requirements as needed based on future ERP system capabilities and vendor recommendations. Learn ERP system functionality including security and access control capabilities Participate in training sessions. Review and understand system documentation
  • Configure and deploy security and access controls. Participate in development activities when required by ERP vendor(s) Validate decisions made by ERP vendor(s) match requirements. Document configurations to facilitate future support of access controls and security. Participate in other required activities to meet delivery schedule
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in Workday security and general application security management. Troubleshoot and analyze Workday security issues with functional analysts which may require functional skills in Workday business process and reporting to identify and resolve issues. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and improvements to security design
  • Document all application security processes as needed including any security changes and enhancements. Document security and access configurations to facilitate future support. Participate in other required activities to meet delivery schedule

Benefits

Full-time TEAMS employees will accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.

Vacation-accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status, and are intended to give the flexibility to enable units to close from December 26 to 31, when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.

Expected Salary:

$70,000 – $80,000; commensurate based on education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Associates degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of working in an enterprise environment the size and complexity of UF
  • 3 years of experience with ERP systems (Workday), workflows and system security administration
  • Workday Security configuration experience including domains, security policies, security groups and authentication policies, familiarity with Workday business process design and report writing
  • Software development life cycle
  • Manual and automated application testing
  • Project defect tracking and remediation

SKILLS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, outstanding communicator; interpersonal skills; and the ability to work collegially and interact effectively with all constituencies
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service-oriented approach and mindset

schedule of 3 days in the office (Wednesday required), and 2 days remote.
