Job Description:

All Career Events Student Assistants are responsible for:

  • Upholding career center values in all areas of work
  • Assisting in planning, implementation, and marketing of career events to students, employers, staff and faculty
  • Aiding in the event logistics and management of all career events (includes approximately 15+ career fairs annually)
  • Supporting management of the Gator CareerLink’s Career Events module
  • Providing timely and thorough customer service for career events email account and phone calls daily
  • Conducting employer research for outreach efforts
  • Assisting with employer outreach campaigns through phone calls and emails
  • Delivering exceptional customer in referring students, staff, faculty and employers to appropriate services
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned by your supervisor related to Career Events or the Career Connections Center

The Career Connections Center is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The Career Events Student Assistants would work approximately 15-20 hours per week. Employees will be expected to work in the career center during regular business hours.

Expected Salary:

$13.00

Minimum Requirements:

Make a two-semester commitment to the career center
• Be available to attend monthly in-services and training meetings throughout each semester
• Commit to working a minimum of 15 hours a week
• Excellent computer skills
• Maintain a 2.0 grade point average
• Attention to detail in composing, editing, and proofreading materials
• Team player who can work independently to achieve a team goal
