Job Description:

The University of Florida is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Admissions Recruiter. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing recruitment efforts, managing assigned territories, and contributing to the overall success of our admissions processes.

Key responsibilities include:

Territory Management and Recruitment

  • Coordinate and execute recruitment efforts, spending up to 10 weeks per year traveling in an assigned geographical region under the direction of the Assistant Director of Admissions.
  • Compile data to evaluate outreach efforts and participate in strategic planning for recruitment events.
  • Host information sessions virtually and travel to college fairs and special programs.
  • Load and unload materials (40lb limit) and operate a vehicle in support of recruitment efforts.
  • Drive long distances on occasion.
  • Travel outside of assigned territory on occasion in support of recruitment events.

Admissions Counseling and Application Review

  • Actively contribute to general admissions counseling.
  • Participate in the freshmen application review process.
  • Serve on special committees, providing valuable insight and expertise to enhance the overall admissions process.

Program and Event Coordination

  • Assist with program and event coordination to recruit and yield prospective and newly admitted students to the University of Florida, including off-campus and virtual events.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the office on office-wide recruitment initiatives, fostering a cohesive and effective admissions team.

Other Duties

  • Participate in conferences and professional development training to maintain a high level of professional competence.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor.

This position is located at the University of Florida's main campus in Gainesville, FL and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management's policies.

Expected Salary:

$55,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Valid driver's license is required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and communicate across a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimal supervision
