Position Function:
To coordinate the development and delivery of Continuing Education (CE) programs in a complex department.
Salary Grade: 13

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates administrative and operational functions of CE programs.
2. Assists in development of courses/program topics, policies, procedures, and goals for CE programming.
3. Participates and assists with development and monitoring of program budgets.
4. Collaborates with trainers to plan, organize, and schedule training sessions, ensuring resources (trainers, materials, venue) are available and logistics are arranged efficiently.
5. Monitors student progress and verifies completion/eligibility of program requirements, attendance, completion, etc.
6. Acts as the primary contact for trainers and participants providing support during sessions, troubleshooting issues and ensure a smooth training experience by providing quality customer service.
7. Researches, compiles and analyzes data to prepare data-based enrollment and financial reports.
8. Assists with proposals, grants, contracts and accreditation processes.
9. Assists with development and implementation of strategic plan projects and objectives.
10. Coordinates with marketing group to develop marketing materials and marketing plans to promote CE programs.
11. Provides content and updates for web pages and social media.
12. Adheres to deadlines and dates set by the CE manager.
13. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience (yrs): Two years of professional higher education experience or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skill; ability to balance multiple projects and work in a fast-paced office; exceptional attention to detail; strong organizational skills; ability to effectively work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in supporting non-credit CE programs or professional experience working with distance and/or non-traditional students.
2. Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting programs and services.
3. Prior experience in project planning for events which require extensive cooperation and coordination with public and private entities.
4. Experience with business systems involving travel, procurement, and financial transactions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*Capable of organizing and maintaining multiple programs and activities for extended periods of time simultaneously.
*Experience in a service-oriented environment.
*Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products, e-mail, web browsers, presentation software, spreadsheets, database or events management software; ability to learn new technologies.
*Attention to detail, time-management, and organizational skills.
*Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
*Ability to compose, edit, and proofread.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
*Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
*No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
*No or very limited physical effort is required.
