Job Description:

The Horticultural Sciences Department Chair’s Office is seeking a part-time OPS Administrative Support Assistant to support general administrative operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and answer phone calls.
  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Assist with general clerical duties, such as opening and routing mail.
  • Updates lists, organizes mailings, and manages data entry tasks.
  • Maintain and organize departmental files.
  • Manage office supply inventory and purchasing.
  • Submit financial documents for processing.
  • Address equipment or facility concerns when they arise.
  • Play a role in organizing or aiding events.
  • Such as coordinating itineraries, preparing conference rooms for meetings, and refreshments for seminars.
  • Perform a variety of duties as needed.
Expected Salary:

$15 to $18 per hour, commensurate with education, skills, and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates are highly organized, enjoy multitasking, and have strong communication skills.
