Job Description:

• Responsible for sample collections, preparation, and shipment of soil, plant tissue, and water samples of crops in field and greenhouse environments.

• Assist with the management and coordination of large- and small-scale field and greenhouse research projects at NFREC in Quincy and cooperating farms in the Florida Panhandle. Will be required to drive to farms across the Florida Panhandle.

• Help develop activity scheduling and labor activity coordination, maintenance of records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is captured and stored in spreadsheets for various projects.

• Engage in effective communication and training of OPS labor, assist students, postdocs, and NFREC farm crew, as needed, to implement, manage, and harvest research trials. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to actively support the overarching mission of NFREC.

Expected Salary:

$22.00 an hour

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Valid U.S. drivers license.

Should be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
