Responsibilities will include:

Communications Collateral Planning & Writing

  • Develop recruitment plans to reach participants through messaging development and support dissemination through appropriate outlets (email, social media, etc.)
  • Create messaging and content for the Lastinger Center and its projects and programs according to the center-wide communications plan.
  • Support public relations and promotional efforts through the development and dissemination of content that may include press releases, articles and newsletters.
  • Develop language for email, web, graphic design (flyers), presentations and video content.

Communications Coordination

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with project leads within the Lastinger Center.
  • Provide coordination support for communications collateral development, including gathering information from appropriate staff; drafting, integrating, and tailoring language to align with needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with graphic design, web, social media and email marketing specialists to activate communications plans.
  • Track communications impact using web and social analytics tools to understand success in execution and inform planning.

Administrative Duties

  • Manage Communications Team project request process (Microsoft Planner).
  • Support agenda maintenance of team meetings.
  • Update web content to support communications dissemination (WordPress).

Other tasks as assigned

Will travel for assigned business purpose moderately (1-2/mth)

Lastinger Center for Learning supports and promotes a healthy work-life balance. To achieve this, the Lastinger Center offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule that aligns with the university’s Flexibility in the Workplace Policy. Allowing employees to stagger arrival and departure times as necessary and to vary the number of workdays in the office so long as an employee’s FTE commitment is fulfilled within the university workweek. This policy also allows for occasional, incidental remote work based on individual circumstances.

Expected Salary:

$65,000 - $75,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or an Associate’s degree and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with recruitment planning and events.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in long form and short form writing.
• Project management experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and WordPress.
