Responsibilities include:

Assess and Oversee Associate Development Programming

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skills gaps and development needs within the organization. Use data and feedback to inform the design and execution of development programs.
  • Design and implement associate development programs, including training workshops, leadership development initiatives, and career development plans that support employees in adapting to new systems, processes, or roles.
  • Develop and deliver innovative learning solutions that address organizational needs and promote continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support talent management strategies, including succession planning, performance management, and high-potential employee programs.
  • Ensure development programs comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with various departments to align development initiatives with organizational goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of development programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Make data-driven recommendations for improvements.

Develop and Oversee Change Management Strategies

  • Create and implement change management strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. Develop comprehensive change plans, including stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, and training programs.
  • Lead the execution of change initiatives, ensuring that changes are smoothly integrated into existing processes and systems. Coordinate with various departments to manage dependencies and address issues.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders throughout the change process. Build strong relationships and communicate change impacts, benefits, and progress effectively.
  • Develop and implement change leadership competency building with team leadership to build knowledge and skills necessary for change sponsorship across the executive management team.
  • Develop and deliver communication plans that inform and engage employees about upcoming changes.
  • Use various channels to ensure that messages are clear, timely, and effective.
  • Identify potential sources of resistance and develop strategies to address concerns and mitigate risks.
  • Work with leaders and teams to foster a positive attitude toward change.
  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of change initiatives. Monitor progress, gather feedback, and make data-driven adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Evaluate the success of change initiatives and identify lessons learned. Implement improvements to enhance future change management efforts and drive organizational effectiveness.

Management and Supervision of Direct Reports

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to employees and managers to support their professional growth and assure high quality performance.

Other Duties as Assigned

Will travel for assigned business purpose minimally (estimate 1-2 a quarter)

Lastinger Center for Learning supports and promotes a healthy work-life balance. To achieve this, the Lastinger Center offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule that aligns with the university’s Flexibility in the Workplace Policy. Allowing employees to stagger arrival and departure times as necessary and to vary the number of workdays in the office so long as an employee’s FTE commitment is fulfilled within the university workweek. This policy also allows for occasional, incidental remote work based on individual circumstances.

Expected Salary:

$80,000 - $90,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PROSCI, ACMP or similar).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in organizational development, talent management, change management or a related field, with a proven track record of designing and implementing successful internal initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design and change management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple internal initiatives simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to drive decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and project management and change management software
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align development initiatives with business objectives.
  • Passionate about employee development and organizational growth.
