Job Description:

The Youth and Young Adults Empowerment, Leadership, and Learning (YELL) Lab located in the Department of Occupational Therapy, College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida, is looking for individuals with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to join our multidisciplinary and diverse team. This position will primarily be responsible for the daily management of multiple research projects, including:

  • Assist with scheduling for research participant screening, consent, and data collection
  • Manage and monitor IRB revisions and reports
  • Maintain and revise RedCap and other data collection tools to respond to needs in the field
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of research records
  • Financial management, including payments to research participants and research-related purchases
  • Foster diverse networks in the local community and across the state of Florida through social media, attending events, and distributing information about the YELL Lab and active research studies.
  • Contribute to weekly research team meetings to ensure study rigor, quality, and safety.
  • Collect data including surveys, interviews, and focus groups, in a rigorous, ethical, and inclusive manner.
  • Other duties as required, with opportunities to expand responsibilities and tasks given individual strengths and interests. This could include product/intervention design, training and supervisory responsibilities, grant writing, manuscript authorship, and data analyses.
Expected Salary:

$23 - $30 hourly; commensurate based on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate degree, certificate, or an equivalent combination of experience working in research management and coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

Individuals with research management experience at the University of Florida, and those with professional training or practice experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD), their families, and professionals. Bachelor’s degree with a BA or BS in Health Sciences, Developmental Psychology, Public Health, Special Education, or a related pre-health/disability field.

This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week. Hours may be flexible within the week but are expected to happen between normal business hours of M-F, 8am-5pm.
