The Autonomous Vehicles Lab at the Research & Engineering Education Facility with the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering is looking for a research engineer. This researcher will join our team to develop hardware proof-of-concept demonstrations of autonomy algorithms on aerial and ground robots. In particular, the engineer will work with open-source robotics systems to build the next generation of Guidance, Navigation, and Control architectures that interest academia, industry, and the DoD. The research engineer will work with an interdisciplinary team developing code to test and evaluate research-level algorithms on simulations and hardware platforms, present demonstrations to UF researchers, sponsor researchers (Air Force, Army, etc.), or support hardware implementations for visiting researchers. This is a dynamic environment, and the team needs to adapt and execute various efforts. This is a full-time, salaried position where you'll have the opportunity to work on multiple exciting projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a collaborative team. $65,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience |
