Postdoctoral Research Scientist – UF Cancer Center

We are seeking an outstanding individual focused on research related to cancer population sciences, particularly in addressing inequities in cancer prevention, early detection, and survivorship. Areas of interest include but are not limited to data science, cancer early detection, cancer survivorship research, and health disparities. Experience in behavioral interventions is preferred but not required. In addition to contributing to the ongoing epidemiologic and clinical research, the candidate will have the opportunity to participate in T32-TICART (team-based cancer research training) and explore their own independent scientific interests. The successful candidate is expected to work towards developing a line of research with an effort to obtain a career development award and/or other external funding to support an eventual faculty position.

Commensurate with education and experience.

A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., DrPH, M.D., D.V.M., DDS etc.)

A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., DrPH, M.D., D.V.M., DDS etc.) in Epidemiology, Public Health or a related field.

Excellent scientific writing and strong oral communication skills.

The ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and collegially with colleagues.

Experience in performing statistical analyses using SAS, R, or STATA programming language.
