The HVAC Mechanic with IFAS Facilities Planning and Operations provides preventive maintenance and general maintenance for all UF/IFAS-owned buildings at Lake Alfred, Apopka, and Wimauma, Florida. Primary work location can be adjusted to any of the sites to best accommodate the employee. Driving a state vehicle to work sites is required. Duties will include:

Expected Salary: |
$22-26 hourly, commensurate with experience and qualifications. |
Minimum Requirements: |
Completion of an approved heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems apprenticeship program; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Maintenance of a valid Florida driver's license is required. Must hold and maintain valid EPA Universal Refrigerant Recovery certification. |
