Job Description:

- Project Management
(1) Provides project leadership for assigned courses by managing interdisciplinary faculty teams.
(2) Oversees the timely development of course content, activities, and assessments for assigned courses, working with faculty to provide quality courses in the DVM program, keeping with established timelines.
(3) Communicates and collaborates frequently and effectively with faculty and members of the ASA team to ensure the goals and objectives of the DVM program are being fulfilled.
(4) Provides updates on progress on developmental projects.

- Learning Design
(1) Works closely with subject matter experts (i.e., faculty teams) to organize and develop instructional content – holds one-on-one and group consultations with course faculty and other stakeholders (laboratory technicians, etc.)
(2) Develops activities for student interactions with instructors, peers, and content.
(3) Designs standardized templates and recommendations for collaboration tools and storage systems
(4) Recommends research-based practices in teaching and learning to support course faculty.
(5) Designs LMS sites for assigned courses that meet university policies for accessibility and guidelines established by the college Curriculum Committee.

- Faculty/Staff Training Development
(1) Assess training needs of our faculty.
(2) Designs learning aids including, but not limited to, online courses, instructional guides, and microlearning opportunities to assist in the transfer of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
(3) Trains and supports faculty and staff on the use of technology for effective instruction and engagement of learners.
(4) Facilitates training or present training to faculty and/or staff.
(5) Evaluates the effectiveness of training materials to ensure objectives are accomplished.
(6) Consults with faculty or administration on instructional needs or learning/training technology.

- Participates in relevant communities at the college and university level that aid in Instructional design, teaching pedagogy, educational technologies and distance education practices.

- Other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Expected Salary:

$62,000 - $68,000

Minimum Requirements:

Masters degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications include: experience working with faculty teams, the development of new courses, University practices/policies, instructional design for professional programs, Canvas course design tools, learning theory, active learning activities, excellent communication and collaboration skills, project management for projects with multiple interdisciplinary stakeholders.
