Triage: CP Accessions: Processing: Patient Interaction (Phlebotomy): Performs phlebotomies and provides patients with prepared written instructions. Works in EPIC. Enters lab encounters for athletes and outside lab orders. Perform other duties as assigned. |
Expected Salary: |
Salary is between $17.00 - $17.50 per hour |
Minimum Requirements: |
High school diploma or equivalent. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a phlebotomy course; or a high school diploma or Communication skills which will allow the prospective employee to interact with UF physicians, client Ability to communicate and give concise and understanding of instructions. Knowledge of the types of laboratory tests, patient preparation, and handling and storage of specimens. Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions. Ability to perform phlebotomy on patients. Ability to communicate effectively - verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others. Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment. Ability to quickly learn various aspects of Lab Operations. Knowledge of Medical terminology. |
