Job Description:

STUDENT DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT

Cultivate a diverse and wide group of students into applying for prestigious awards. Hold workshops and one-on-one appointments to develop student confidence and knowledge. Make regular availability to manage the intake of new, and progression of continuing, student relationships.

FACULTY COORDINATION AND SUPPORT

Develop a rich network of faculty relationships with affinity towards specific prestigious awards or eligible student populations. Organize faculty to assist with the assessment of student candidates and endorsement of applications. Cultivate a cadre of faculty willing to provide additional support through mock interviews.

ASSESSMENT, PLANNING, AND COMMUNICATION

Assess the impact of the program. Keep historical records of student awards. Plan prestigious awards events for students, faculty, prestigious awards coordinators, and other university administration. Attend national conferences. Work with UF Student Success Communications staff to promote student awards and develop press releases for student successes.

STUDENT SUCCESS COLLABORATION

Participates in UF Student Success events and activities including, but not limited to: presenting at Preview orientation, attend meetings, collaborate with team members, host events with university partners, and be knowledgeable of UF Student Success activities.

Expected Salary:

Commensurate based on education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with prestigious awards, mentoring students, or advising preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and planning skills.

The candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills.

The candidate will possess strong inter-personal and verbal communication skills and communicate effectively in writing.

The ability to cultivate and sustain collegial relationships is critical to this position.

A successful Coordinator will nurture the development of networks across the University and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
