JOB SUMMARY: |
This position is responsible for fulfilling electronic document formatting and Section 508 remediation requests for the Desktop Publishing area. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 requiring Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. The position requires experience remediating content to meet WCAG 2.2 and HHS standards for PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Understanding of how to create and design accessible data visualizations is also required. Experience with Commonlook PDF, JAWS and/or NVDA, video remediation, and eLearning programs such as Articulate and/or Captivate is preferred. Additional activities include the design, layout and formatting of reports, research briefs, questionnaires, contract proposals, grant applications, conference posters, marketing brochures, and awards and certificates. Document editing and proofreading functions to validate proposal production compliance also required. This position may have responsibilities across multiple, concurrent projects, with shifting priorities and urgent requirements. This role will also support the Digital Accessibility Manager with special initiatives such as planning, designing, and executing staff trainings; best practice documentation; and other ad hoc activities. |

The Office of Business Development (OBD) identifies and disseminates key information regarding prospective clients and business opportunities. Within OBD, the Desktop Publishing team designs and produces proposals as well as a variety of other print and digital collateral. |

SALARY AND BENEFITS: |
The pay range for this position is $55,000 - $82,000. This position is classified as regular. Regular staff are eligible for NORC’s comprehensive benefits program. Benefits include, but are not limited to:
