Gene Expression OPS Lab Technician

A full time OPS Lab Technician is available in the Gene Expression and Genotyping of the Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research (ICBR). Duties include DNA RNA quantification using Nanodrop, Qubit and qualification using Agilent Bioanalyzer/TapeStation, qPCR, digital PCR, DNA, RNA extraction and GeneTitian Axiom Array process. The Assistant is also responsible for receiving the packages and periodic cleanup of the freezers, maintaining a detailed list of available reagents, and other lab related works as needed. We seek a reliable individual with an ability to learn new laboratory procedures rapidly, attention to details, good communication skills familiarity with computers, and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

- Perform RNA, DNA QC by Qubit, bioanalyzer and TapeStation and deliver the data

- Perform library quantification using qPCR and deliver the data

- Perform digital PCR and deliver the data.

- Perform GeneTitian Axiom Array process and deliver the data.

- Assist lab members in DNA RNA extraction, and library QC.

- Clean up the freezers as needed and list the reagents for better lab management regarding Lab consumables and reagents tracking.

- Any lab related works as needed

$16 - $17 per hour, commensurate with education and experience

High school diploma, or its equivalent, and one year of relevant experience.
