Job Description:

Facilitation of Immersive Service Experiences

· Plan and implement immersive service experiences for students, enabling them to volunteer locally, throughout the state, and nationally.

· Ensure service experiences are meaningful and impactful for both students and community partners.

· Assist in the planning and execution of the Presidential Service Awards (PSA), recognizing outstanding student volunteers.

· Coordinate the nomination and selection process for PSA award recipients.

· Promote, advertise, and recruit students for service projects across campus.

· Utilize various marketing and communication strategies to increase student participation in service activities.

· Work closely with Assistant Director of Community Engagement & Stewardship to identify community partners for volunteer experiences.

Coordination of Unity in Action Program

· Lead the Unity in Action group volunteering program, assisting student groups in planning service projects.

· Assist student organizations, student government, and other student groups University-wide to plan and implement service projects and volunteer initiatives.

· Educate students about community issues and coordinate all logistical aspects of service projects.

· Provide day-of assistance as a site leader to ensure successful project execution.

On Campus Service Efforts & Campus Partner Collaboration

· Organize and manage various on-campus drives and service projects, such as Field & Fork Pantry volunteers, campus beautification initiatives, clothing drives, and more.

· Ensure that all projects align with the university’s goals for community engagement and student development.

· Coordinate efforts with staff, departments, and offices who offer volunteer opportunities on campus including but not limited to Harn Museum of Art, UF Department of Neurology, UF Health Shands Hospital, UF College of Dentistry, and UF Performing Arts.

· Collaborate with campus partners to facilitate volunteer and service-learning projects.

· Work with other departments and organizations within the university to integrate service opportunities into the student experience.

· Provide consultations for student groups and campus partners on the successful implementation of volunteer programs.

· Offer expert advice and support to student groups and campus partners on developing and executing effective volunteer programs.

· Provide training sessions and workshops on best practices for volunteer management and community engagement.

· Assist in the development of resources and toolkits to support volunteer program implementation.

Administrative Functions

· Work closely with the database administrator to ensure tracking and reporting of volunteer hours and projects for individuals and groups

· Evaluate the effectiveness of service programs through feedback and assessment tools, making continuous improvements.

· Ensure regular data reporting and tracking.

· Manage financial resources for volunteer programs.

· Prepare and submit reports on service-learning outcomes.

Expected Salary:

$50,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
