Manage and coordinate all aspects of GatorNights programming.
Assist the Office of Campus Engagement in its efforts to provide support, advising, training, and oversight to ensure effective and comprehensive campus programs, events, and traditions at UF.
Assist with administrative functions of the Office of Campus Engagement.
Contributes to the Division and University through active participation on committees and division-wide initiatives (example opportunities: conduct committee, First Year Florida, etc); and, other duties as assigned. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Campus Events and Traditions. General direction will be rendered through established goals and expectations, on-going input and feedback via regular communication with employee on a daily basis, and regular performance reviews. Directly supervises: Student Assistants 40 hours per week, with additional time required during peak periods such at the beginning and end of each semester. Frequent night and weekend hours are required. |
Expected Salary: |
$48,000.00/year |
Minimum Requirements: |
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of relevant experience. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
• A Master’s Degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or comparable field or a Bachelor’s in an appropriate field and 3+ (three) years relevant experience • Demonstrated experience in advising students and working with event planning and student organizations at the college or university level • Demonstrated planning, organization, and communication skills (verbal and written). • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously. • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with computers and basic software applications. • Demonstrated experience working with a campus activities board. • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in marketing and promotions. • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in budget development. |
