Ensure accessible, fair, and equitable treatment for everyone in our diverse and valued team. Responsibilities accomplished with the supervision of the Technical Director for UF Performing Arts. Projection and Live Streaming: Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of projection, live streaming equipment, teleconferencing, and other video systems for events as directed. Ensure high-quality video output for all performances and events, utilizing QLab for video playback and show control. Coordinate with the UFPA audio team to confirm quality of content. Maintenance and Equipment Management: Develop, organize, and maintain standard operational workflow procedures (including regular maintenance requirements) for all video systems. Manage inventory, purchasing, and rental of video equipment and supplies. Track and report to Technical Director, progress of event work and the expenses for technical production of events. Training and Supervision: Train and supervise video crews, and other stage employees, ensuring they are knowledgeable and efficient, including proficiency at troubleshooting. Schedule and manage crew assignments for various events. Communicate and ensure use of safe work practices. Technological Advancement: Stay up to date with the latest video technologies, software and best practices. Implement new technologies, hardware, and software to enhance current video production capabilities. Including researching and recommending capital purchases to maintain or increase capacity of operations. Show Advancement: Advance shows by coordinating with directors, designers, technical staff, and visiting event personnel to meet video production requirements. Plan, develop, and implement video requirements for events as directed, reviewing event specifications, and participating in production meetings. Stage Supervision: Periodically act as a Stage Supervisor, providing direct supervision of all technical aspects of events. Including leading and supervising crews during event load ins, setups, tech rehearsals, performances, and load outs. Deliver support for other areas of technical production as needed and assigned. |
Expected Salary: |
$46,000.00-$54,000.00, commensurate with experience |
Minimum Requirements: |
High school diploma or equivalent and six years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. |
