Job Description:

Position Function:

Management of the donor recognition program. In addition, managing the private scholarship system, which includes the assurance of following the donor gift agreement guidelines and promoting the philanthropic work of the contributors.

Salary Grade: 14

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Mange the donor recognition program which includes:
a. Donor recognition naming opportunities
b. Managing the donor recognition clubs
2. General management of funds within the private scholarship system including:
a. Entering new scholarships as they are created
b. Attending conferences
c. Maintaining up-to-date trainings
3. Departmental liaison- serve as a point of contact for academic departments about private scholarships, cycle management, renewals and training.
4. Maintain relationships with university officials to help with awarding scholarships.
5. Assist with stewardship by working with student knowledge of their donors
6. Coordinate the gift agreement process.
7. Coordinate with the Executive Director on planning an organizing special events.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. 2-4 years experience in a field directly related to job responsibilities.
OR
3. Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or education approved by the Department of Human Resources Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Knowledge and understanding of a non-profit organization.
2. Data management skills in Advancement Banner, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Strong writing skills.
2. Ability to prioritize competing demand and to meet deadlines.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
