Clinical Programs Coordinator III

The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine is seeking a full time Clinical Programs Coordinator III. The position is 100% dedicated to the Division's Cystic Fibrosis program. Candidate will provide counseling to cystic fibrosis patients in order to promote optimum mental, physical and emotional health.

Essential Functions;

Social Work
Provide assessments and counseling to patients and their families regarding the psychosocial aspects of cystic fibrosis. Facilitates care of patients and families by providing them with a comprehensive continuous plan of care. Advocacy to help patients and families negotiate multiple systems, including insurance, employment, etc. Will provide counseling to cystic fibrosis patients in order to promote optimum mental, physical and emotional health.

Mental Health Coordination
Assess and treat the unique emotional and behavioral needs for patients and families related to the management of CF. Utilize behavioral interventions to teach patients how to cooperate with and participate in the management of their CF. Goal is to ensure that patients and their families achieve a better quality of life. Will provide counseling to cystic fibrosis patients in order to promote optimum mental, physical and emotional health.

Ad Hoc assignments as provided by supervisor

$52,500 - $68,238 Annually

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Degree from an appropriate specialization and 2 years of prior social worker experience. Experience in health care setting preferred. Experience with cystic fibrosis patients preferred.

Master Social Work degree with active license or with current job path to license (as per CFT requirement)
