Job Description:

The University of Florida is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the Associate University Registrar for Academic Pathways. In this role, you will oversee and synchronize processes related to academic pathways within the university. The Associate University Registrar will provide leadership and direction in managing the University's undergraduate, graduate, and professional catalogs, degree audits, scheduling, and alternative credentials.

Responsibilities include:

Leadership

  • Lead and oversee the team responsible for the development, customization, and maintenance of essential systems, including the degree audit, universal tracking system, academic and event scheduling, academic catalogs, and alternative credentials.
  • Collaborate with UF Information Technology on systems enhancements and testing related to academic processes. Collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the university to ensure compliance with academic regulations and to facilitate student success.
  • Develop and implement policies as directed by the University Registrar.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff assigned to the area.

Degree Audit Maintenance

  • Review and approve degree audit analyses for undergraduate degree candidates and universal tracking requirements, ensuring compliance with academic regulations.
  • Verify that the application for registration is complete and coordinate the submission of degree certification data to relevant authorities.

Curriculum Management

  • Coordinate with the University Catalog editor to synchronize catalog edits with automated degree certification software.
  • Review and test undergraduate degree audit changes submitted by colleges and departments, ensuring alignment with university curriculum standards.

Other Duties

  • Participate in office-wide strategic planning, resource allocation, and goal setting.
  • Represent the university at local, state, and national meetings, forums, and professional association functions.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Expected Salary:

Commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and five years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive functional knowledge and experience using the university’s student record system, advising support system, and understanding the curriculum and associated state and university academic regulations.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff regarding the university’s automated academic support infrastructure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience managing staff and providing direction.
  • Two or more years of experience writing requirements and degree programs utilizing the Student Academic Support System software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access for data analysis. Experience editing websites.
