This position supports all activities of the Student Nighttime Auxiliary Patrol (SNAP) service providing safe transportation at night for UF students on campus and to a small number of UF-owned off-campus locations. SNAP student employees drive UF service vehicles in order to transport students safely and efficiently between designated stops, use tablets to accept and route student ride requests and radios to communicate with supervisors and co-workers, and handle dispatch duties to answer phones, track vehicle routes and maximize SNAP operational efficiency. This position is required to have a safe driving record and US driver’s license with a minimum one year of driving history, regularly use computers and tablets, handle multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining on schedule at all times, and excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor and positive attitude. Previous experience with driving large vehicles. |

With this position there is occasional light reaching above the shoulders, lifting, kneeling, repeated bending, in the activity of daily monitoring of vehicles. This position must exercise exemplary customer relations skills and the ability to handle customer’s needs. This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) or Federal Work-Study (FWS). Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week. Multiple vacancies will be filled from this posting.
