The Opportunity: Are you a self-motivated, forward thinker with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines? The College of Journalism at the University of Florida is seeking an Academic Assistant, that enjoys collaborating with different teams, to join the Division of Graduate Studies. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for applicants, students, and faculty regarding the main operating functions of the division. Candidates must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure, produce within deadlines, and work as part of the divisions’ teams. Strong attention to detail and accuracy is vital. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong knowledge and proven experience of general office skills. Key duties:
CJC has 74 full-time faculty members teaching in four departments: Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, and Media Production, Management and Technology. Expected Salary: |
$18-$20 per hour |
Minimum Requirements: |
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience. |
