Job Description:

Cleans and maintains on a daily basis all halls, offices, shops, classrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, labs, gym areas, locker rooms, elevators which includes sweeping, dusting, dust-mopping, wetmopping, spot-mopping, reconditioning of floors and spot washing and cleaning of walls, doors, and partitions.

Cleans and maintains all floors and floor coverings which includes regular duties such as vacuuming, shampooing, striping, sealing and waxing.

Cleans all entrances, entrances walks, steps, patios, and concourses.

Spot cleans and cleans all exterior and interior glass surfaces of all assigned buildings; cleans ceiling lights and Venetian blinds.

Empties and cleans all waste cans, trashcans, recycle bins, water fountains and doormats.

Performs other duties assigned.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:

5:00AM to 1:30PM (Monday through Friday).

Workdays and shift times may vary in response to customer needs for special event coverage and/or departmental needs. Some overtime may be required.

Management retains the right and discretion to modify schedules, building assignments, shifts and/or days for operational purposes.

Position is considered as Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy.

Expected Salary:

$15.00 Hourly

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of ninth grade.

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION & TRAINING

High school diploma and two (2) years of commercial custodial experience.

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Required to complete training prescribed by Facilities Services Training and Education Department, and the University’s Compliance Training.

Required to follow and adhere to all Building Services Standard Operating Procedures, and Facilities Services Policies and Directives.
