Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing talent acquisition expertise in support UF hiring departments screening and selecting top talent using best practices and leading strategies. This includes but may not be limited to:

  • Reviews and approves job requisitions for positions to ensure that all postings are constructed in a way that will attract top talent, promote positive branding and result in service excellence.
  • Evaluates recommendations for hire to ensure the use of best practices and to confirm compliance with laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensures applicant tracking system is updated and applicants are dispensed to reflect appropriate dispositions and flags
  • Collaborates with college and department level, faculty, and staff to provide guidance needed to identify and resolve unique issues in areas related to recruitment, selection and hiring.
  • Reviews and advises departments on potential hires, clearing finalist, and supporting the onboarding of new hires.
  • Coordinates screening components for new hires to include past employment, employment verification, and education verification in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Participates in community events, activities, and career fairs in support of engaging and attracting talent.

Expected Salary:

48,000.00

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity of employment laws, specifically Title VII, ADA, FLSA.
  • Working competency in computer skills – Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Demonstrate knowledge of professional human resource practices.
  • Ability to orally communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, using the English language, with or without the use of auxiliary aids or services.
  • Ability to review, understand and apply concepts presented in training programs, conferences and /or professional literature.
  • Ability to work and cooperate with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels.
